Services

Engagements scoped to how you actually operate.

Four practice areas, one way to engage — a steady monthly retainer, scoped to volume and complexity. Fixed quotes, no hourly meter.

01

Bookkeeping

Clean books, kept clean. Every transaction categorized, every account reconciled, and a general ledger that holds up under scrutiny — so month-end isn't a scramble and year-end isn't a cleanup project.

What's included

  • Weekly transaction categorization & coding
  • Bank & credit-card reconciliations
  • Accounts payable — bill entry, vendor management, payment scheduling
  • Accounts receivable — invoicing, collections follow-up, aging reports
  • Chart-of-accounts design & cleanup
  • 1099 vendor tracking through the year
  • QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct platform support
  • Year-end tie-out & CPA hand-off package

Who it's for

Small and mid-sized businesses that have outgrown a spreadsheet or a part-time bookkeeper and want their books maintained continuously — not scrambled together at tax time or when the bank calls.

How we engage

Monthly retainer scoped to transaction volume and complexity. Onboarding includes a full ledger review and any cleanup needed to bring the books current before recurring service begins.

02

Monthly Close

A real month-end close, not a year-end reconstruction. Accruals booked, cutoffs enforced, subledgers tied to the general ledger, and financial statements management can actually make decisions from.

What's included

  • Monthly accrual & deferral journal entries
  • Prepaid expense amortization
  • Depreciation & fixed-asset roll-forward
  • Subledger reconciliations (AR, AP, inventory, payroll)
  • Intercompany eliminations for multi-entity clients
  • Full close package: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, budget-vs-actual
  • Written variance commentary on request
  • CPA-ready year-end workpapers & support schedules

Who it's for

Owner-operators and finance leaders who want a repeatable month-end process that closes within ten business days — with reports that reconcile, tie back to source, and answer the questions leadership actually asks.

How we engage

Monthly retainer, typically layered on top of bookkeeping (either ours or in-house). Cadence and turnaround SLA agreed at onboarding, with a defined close calendar delivered each quarter.

03

Payroll

Full-service payroll — from biweekly runs to year-end W-2s. Employees paid on time, taxes filed correctly, and the paperwork you'd otherwise be up at midnight chasing.

What's included

  • Weekly, biweekly, or semimonthly payroll runs
  • Federal, state, & local tax deposits
  • Quarterly 941, 940, & state unemployment filings
  • Year-end W-2 & 1099-NEC preparation and distribution
  • New-hire reporting & W-4 / I-9 collection
  • PTO accrual tracking & reporting
  • Garnishment administration — child support, tax levies, wage assignments
  • Multi-state withholding for remote and traveling employees
  • Payroll platform setup — Gusto, ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks Payroll

Who it's for

Businesses with anywhere from two to two hundred employees who want payroll handled correctly, on time, and without the owner or office manager becoming the accidental payroll department.

How we engage

Monthly retainer priced per pay period and headcount. Includes tax filings, employee support for pay-related questions, and coordination with your bookkeeping so payroll posts to the GL cleanly.

04

HR

The people-side of running a business. Handbooks, hiring, onboarding, terminations, and the everyday questions that come up between them — handled by someone who's spent over a decade running multi-state HR (Utah and California) for a six-location operation.

What's included

  • Employee handbook drafting & annual review
  • Offer letter & employment agreement templates
  • New-hire onboarding — I-9, W-4, benefits enrollment, first-day paperwork
  • PTO, sick leave, & holiday policy design
  • Benefits administration coordination — health, dental, vision, 401(k)
  • Performance review process design
  • Progressive discipline & termination documentation
  • HR compliance guidance — ADA, FMLA, FLSA classification, harassment prevention training
  • Multi-state employment-law awareness for remote teams

Who it's for

Growing businesses that don't yet have a dedicated HR person but need policies, paperwork, and process — plus a real human on the other end when a tricky situation comes up.

How we engage

Monthly retainer for ongoing HR support, or fixed-fee project engagements for one-time work — handbook rewrite, benefits open enrollment, workforce classification review, or termination package prep.
